My Garden

I dug these lupines up out near the farm and planted them in front of our house. I have been working on this garden for at least four years. All the gardens are new since we moved here.

One fun thing about gardening is collecting plants from friends. The blue/violet irises are from a dear friend named Vi. I have lavender from another friend named Viola. I know that both plants had lived in those previous gardens for years. We do buy plants from time to time, but many of them are gifts from friends and I pass some along too.

These are rhododendrons over beside the church. They are really past their prime, but are still pretty. They are much improved this year since we removed some junipers which were next to them.
