Yesterday we were at the farm, once again trying to get ready for the important company coming for Christmas. I was wallpapering in the den. This has never happened to me before, but I got motion sickness or something from the wall paper. Honest I did! Paul said it was like staring at those 3D pictures. The lines in the wall paper got to me. Didn't get the job finished because our neighbor popped in and then we had to leave. No pics either. We are just too busy to get it on camera. Some day I plan to go to the farm and just sit and look at all the work we have done. It is coming together and we are very pleased with it. We also have curtains in the master and guest bedrooms. Until now, we have slept with the wide open windows. We are not sure that company would like to do that.

Early Morning Farm Shots
Once upon a time, not so very long ago, I stayed overnight at the farm alone. I was busy wall papering the guest bedroom and Paul had a Men's Breakfast or some such thing. I was up at 6:45 AM (can't waste time in bed out there). The early morning was beautiful, so I took some pics.

He did come back for me!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
No Thanksgiving dinner here today,
but lots of thanksgiving anyway.
These are a few pics from the farmhouse.
We are enjoying it immensely
even though we work like crazy while we are there!
I walk around saying "Thank You, Lord!
Thank You, Lord!
Thank You, Lord!"

SNOW DAY!
Winter has started out with a bang here, even though it is not officially winter for quite a while yet. We had a big storm yesterday with several inches of snow and very slippery roads. So we hunkered down and enjoyed it!

Cozy house
Parking lot staked for plowing
Snow plow ready for work
Lake view
The water is starting to freeze.
We are getting ready for the southerners to arrive!
We will try to have more of the same after they are safely here...
maybe we could skip the slippery roads.
We heard this storm was coming while we were at the farm.
I thought it would be a good idea to be storm stayed there,
but no such luck!
I really thought Paul needed to try out the snow blower someone loaned us.
We had to cancel our prayer meeting anyway...

You were wondering....
what has happened to us, I am sure. Wellllllll, we ARE IN THE HOUSE at the farm. Sooooooooo that makes for LOTS AND LOTS of busy work for us whenever we can get there. So far we have wallpapered the guest bedroom ("Why in the world would you wallpaper in a new house?" a friend asked. Because we want that old farmhouse look in a new house) and almost finished the kitchen/dining area which is SO MUCH CUTER THAT I EVER IMAGINED! Now I am not sure about showing pics because Sara and fam are coming for Christmas and I kind of want to wait for them to see it in person. I will say that we used molding from the old house in the dining area and it was a stroke of pure genius on Paul's part. Very, very cool!!! AND we have a wallpaper in there reminiscent of the old kitchen. For those of you who know and care, Lisi is hanging in her place as is the Blueberries for Sal pic and the "Her children arise up" tin painted by SFM. We love to put in touches of the 1920s house. We have in mind an open house when we are ready. If you come, PLEASE DO NOT BRING US ANYTHING! (Is that why people think you have an open house? We don't!) We have so much stuff now that we need to purge!
