Look what we are missing!!!

This is Dave & Sara's house
and it is azalea time!
We have never seen this view before. I am thinking we have only enjoyed the azaleas in photos. I don't think we were ever there while they were blooming. They seem to be along the side of the front yard, but obviously Sara went on the other side of the azaleas to get this shot. BEAUTIFUL!!! She says many things are blooming now. And we had SNOW FLURRIES TODAY!!! Ugh! Oh well, spring will come... for sure...sometime, or maybe not. Maybe, bong...and it will be summer!?
(Hope you don't mind, Sar!)

The Handwriting is on the Wall!!!

Every time we stop by the farm, a few more chunks have fallen here or there!

The kitchen ceiling...

...is on the floor!

Someone/something has been nibbling...
nothing new!

Living room ceiling...
nothing new either!

Guest bedroom ceiling and walls...
not a new development!

Our bedroom ceiling...
I guess this has been an issue almost since our farm beginning in 1994!

But the daffies are starting to bloom!

Ice and snow are gone!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

We started the day with a breakfast at 8:30 AM (not too sunrise-ish!)
This is always a special church family time...
lots of food...
good fellowship.
This year 48 people attended!

We worked hard on the table settings...
pretty spring colored table cloths and napkins...
spring flowers plunked into sap-like buckets.
And VOILA
instant SPRING!
The weather is LOVELY too!

Dessert, anyone?

No matter what the number attending,
we always come up with plenty of food!

Waiting to be fed!
Not long now!

(Don't they look pretty in their pinks with the green table cloth and gold napkins?)

What a special day when we celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ!
But then, every Sunday is resurrection day for the true believer!
How sad it is that many don't realize that Jesus paid the price of our sins in full.
How sad that many try to "help" with the price that they cannot possibly pay!
One of my favorite books of the Bible is Hebrews where we read that after Jesus suffered and died, He sat down at the right hand of God the Father, signifying that His work is FINISHED!
The price for my sin has been paid FOREVER!
"But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever sat down on the right hand of God;" Hebrews 10:12

SNOW'S GONE!

Hurray, hurray! Tomorrow is supposed to be a nice day.
I can't wait to clean up the garden beds!

Early Spring in the Country

That was a week ago.
The snow is pretty much gone now, at least in the city.
We are expecting spring-like weather for the next several days.
And we are ready for it!

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALISA!

Alisa is back in the hospital. She has been having more post-op pain than she should. The cyst has grown back in just two weeks time, so she faces more surgery. This has been and is a huge trial for the family but they have certainly manifested the grace of God in their lives. You can keep tabs on what is happening on Kari's blog. It is a blessing for us to continually get news from Kari since we are very concerned.

APRIL FOOL'S DAY

I saw some April Fool's pranks on a link from Sara's blog and decided to try a few. I switched Paul's sock and under ware drawers (ha ha!) and pinned all his undies together so that when you grab one pair, the whole bunch come in a line. However, I wasn't in the room at the time and he just put the undies neatly back in place. So I had to ask him what happened. He didn't even clue into the reversed drawers (ha ha!) I got up after going to bed last night to put water into a cereal bowl to freeze. As I expected, he realized that the bowl with cereal on top and ice underneath was very cold. We haven't been into April Fooling since the kids left home and some good laughs didn't hurt us!
