Anniversary Lobster

Our anniversary was on Monday, but the lobster dinner was tonight.
We just heard that the color red stimulates the appetite and causes people to gain weight.
Oh great! Red lobster and we have red dishes!
I guess we will just have to go to Sara's where the dishes are blue.
Wonder if that will suppress the appetite.
I rather doubt it...
especially at Christmas!

Oh, the lobster was GREAT!!! and worth the wait!

Christmas at our House

More of those wonderful windows

Christmas at our Church

No, the decorations are not the important thing
but they are pretty and draw our attention to the true meaning of Christmas...
Jesus Christ
His birth
His death for us
and His life through us if we have accepted His gift of salvation.

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Okay, so some things change in 44 years!
What did we do today?
Not much. We talked about going out for dinner but I would rather bring some lobster home like we did last year, I think. However because I had flu or food poisoning during the night, I wasn't feeling like eating lobster. The real celebration will be seeing "The Miracle of Christmas" at Sight and Sound in Lancaster, PA on Saturday. We are looking forward to that. And guess where we will be headed!

New Kitchen Windows

I guess I should have taken pics of the before, but they were pretty ugly.
This is definitely a huge improvement.
We have also had some furnace work done lately
and now we have a warm house!

It looks good and feels good too!
More work to be done though:
cleaning and curtains.

If you wonder where I am...

Things have been topsy turvy here. The new windows are all in and they are beautiful, wonderful, gorgeous, etc., etc! In other words, we love them! Two new doors have been installed. The rest of the work should be done in 1 1/2 to 2 days. However there is a down side. Everything in the house is in a mess (somewhat better now) and covered with plaster dust. This house has 1 inch thick real plaster and it makes quite a mess when it is cut into. The down side has an up side which is that we are doing a good cleaning here. And the down side which has an up side also has a down side, being Christmas activities are speeding up so I don't have time to deal with the dust, etc. We just had a ladies fellowship and cookie exchange and church decorating. I think I can dive into the house needs on Monday. Maybe I will find a little time for much awaited pics of the renos. Oh, we did squeeze in some shopping for the grandkiddies!
