Things are changing...fortunately!

 March 23

That bump next to the car is the baby barn

 The view across the street
Our neighbor used to go to Florida in the winter.

Getting in at the farm
That is actually how high the snow was on the porch!

Cute bird house sticking out of the snow...
a little
I hope it survives the winter!

The next two pics are today,

All about hair

Every night we have a little "hair check" to see if it has grown.
It has...
slowly, it seems.
Now about all those who predict that when your hair grows back,
it will probably be curly..
not this girl's!
So far ( 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch) it is straighter than straight.
I'm thinking it will probably stick straight up when it is 2" long.
It is like waiting for Sara's hair to grow when she was little.
I just hope it doesn't take 3 1/2 years like her hair did.
And it is hard to see since it is white,
just like before.

I was there!

Two weeks ago we drove to the farm on a nice sunny day.
Yesterday we did that again, for my weekly outing.
Last time I sat in the car,
while Paul struggled on snowshoes up to the house to check on things.

This time I snowshoed to the house too.
It was a very cold day, but the snowshoeing wasn't hard this time.
I was able to fuss with my plants.
I didn't realize how much I had missed them!
They are mostly doing well.

It was fun to look around.
I haven't been there since Christmas time.

We didn't stay long, but Paul started a new puzzle.

There's a spot of GRASS!
ANOTHER STORM is on the way for tomorrow.
We are winter weary here, and looking forward to some REAL SPRING.

This is my first time on snowshoes in 2015.
I am hoping for bigger and better things.
After my ambitious day yesterday,
I have been pretty worthless today.

Valentine Roses and a Day Trip

These roses came home 20 days before this picture.
Two roses died, but these are still beautiful.
The secret:
each night we put them in the front entryway where it was cool.

I have gotten a little stir crazy lately and need to get out of the house.
However, I am not ready to walk around the mall or go shopping,
so a road trip is the logical way to go.

Last Friday we took a little trip to Shediac.
The whole town is clogged with snow.
This is the wharf...
not much activity.

We are noticing a little bit of peach fuzz on my head, maybe 1/4 inch long.
And it is the same color as before, CB!
I did get to church last Sunday AM, the first time since Christmas Eve!
I am not ready to stand around and visit, so I popped in after the service began
and left quickly at the end.
