Not actually NEW counter tops!
I painted them. I had resisted doing this until I saw some a friend painted and decided that would help us out a lot. I am very happy with them and notice how they match the curtains!
I like the contrast too. Oh, they will be MUCH MORE SANITARY than the ancient ones. We like antiques, but we have our limits!
