Andy's New House

Andy recently bought a "fixer-upper" house!
Here is the rug I am hooking for him and his new house. I have a little more done on it now.
I hope he will like it! I am having fun making it!

This is a quilt square from the quilt I am making for Andy's new house!
We bought the Sunburst pieces years ago at a yard sale. (I am not sure that the gold in the middle is what I will use. That did not come with the Sunburst pattern.)
The fabrics are from the 1930s, but were all new.
The backing is a vintage repro fabric that I found at Marden's!
Sara is the one who convinced me that I should use a colored background instead of white.
I am glad I did! Every other square will be green without the Sunburst.
My rug hooker/quilter neighbor says to plan on the quilt taking a year to make!
The rug will be done long before that!

Wow! The rug and the quilt are beautiful! Andy is fortunate to have such a talented Mom! I love my rug (wall hanging)that you made me several years ago. I get many compliments on it!
