Karen's Goblets

Years ago, nearly 26 years ago, my friend Karen who just sent me the goodie package, gave us the lovely red goblets on the second shelf. That's a good way to be remembered as a friend!

I think of her every time I see or use them. For the last 5 years or so, they have sat on that open shelf in our kitchen where we see them many times a day. They have always been very special to us, as has Karen's friendship. If you look hard, you can see some heavy red tumblers (glasses?) which were given to us even before the goblets by Diana, Karen's sister-in-law. Diana has been a very special friend even longer than Karen has been. I used to use Diana's glasses everyday, even before we left Minnesota. Unfortunately, only four of the original eight remain!
