We have been celebrating all day, but without a photo for the blog! We have run into technical difficulties but we have not let that spoil the fun. We usually start out the anniversary day with grapefruit for breakfast, because we had it for breakfast the very first day of our marriage. However, I decided today that we should eat it tomorrow since that is the morning after. Before I was out of bed, someone came to the door with gift cards for restaurants. Since they are only good in Canada, we had to use them instead of saving them for our trip. So after doing all sorts of getting ready for Christmas and getting ready for going away things, we went to Montana's for supper. That was nice!
We decided long ago that we don't have to do anything special to be happy. We are so happy and thankful to be together. We thank God everyday for His blessings to us! So many people lead empty lives and ours are full and overflowing. "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation." Psalm 68:19
Then we went Christmas caroling! This has always been an important time for our church family. We visited the hospital and a nursing home. We walk around singing and people love it. It is so good for the children and young people to see what a blessing they can be! Remember the person who I said needed prayer? We did go there. The visit did not turn out exactly as we had hoped, but we did sing carols and let that person know that we care. We will not forget and certainly God will not! It is always good during this busy season to share the real Christmas message with others.
