The First Day Breakfast

Yes, we did have the traditional grapefruit for our breakfast this morning. However I was struck by the difference 42 years can make! For one thing, back then we were not listening to our son-in-law's new Christmas CD. Duh! (Check it out at mincymedia.com) CD? I don't even think we had cassettes yet! And we didn't have the little senior citizen pill container! =) Not that we are sick, thankfully. These are preventative things like eye vitamins and calcium so I won't have macular degeneration and osteoporosis like my mom did! And we were not looking forward to spending time with our daughter, her husband and our grandchildren! And we did not have a son living way across the country who just bought a house! We have LOTS for which to be thankful! "This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes." Psalm 118:23
