Prince Edward Island Travelogue

At the beginning of October, Paul's brother, Dave, and his wife, Maxine, came for a visit. We had a WONDERFUL time with them. I wanted a pic of the four of us "not standing in a line," but guess what we have here... At least we have a pic!

Maxine had never been here before. Here are the newly-weds, married in 2008.

We stayed over night at Kindred Spirits in Cavendish. It is a lovely place! Great breakfast too! Other than our overnight in PEI, they were along for the ride. And what a busy ride it was:
Seniors' Conference in Fredericton, Bible Study right after PEI, running around town with me while Paul studied and prepared, and prayer meeting. Then Dave and Maxine took a trip to Nova Scotia for 2 1/2 days while we prepared for the weekend. They came back for the usual busy Sunday with our annual Thanksgiving meal at the church and afternoon testimony service.

These next pics are of Kensington, PEI with it's neat train station where Lucy Maud Montgomery boarded the train.

Silverbush
This is a Lucy Maud Montgomery site which I just discovered last June.
She was married here and it was the home of her aunt and uncle.
She thought of this as a very happy place, in her rather sad life.
I don't think her marriage contributed much to her happiness.

I couldn't get anyone interested in going in.
Maxine knew very little about LMM and Anne so we had to introduce her to the DVDs.
After she went home, Dave bought her the continuing stories but said he was not interested in watching them. This is from the guy we cheered when Gilbert and Anne finally got together.
At any rate, I think we made an Anne fan of Maxine!

We visited some nice gift shops.
I know they frown upon photos of their wares, but
well...we took this one!

I was the only one who could not get near the water without sticking my toes in!
The next pics are of North Rustico,
a PEI favorite of ours.

Lots of pics,
just in case you are hankering for a trip to PEI!

I haven't been on the "puter" in a few days so I missed all of the travelogue. I did get a bit misty-eyed looking at PEI pics. I just love that place. Cheryl
