THE SURPRISE!!!

The color of the house in this second pic looks like the true color to me.
It is a greenish-tan, not just tan like the first pic.

THE FRONT PORCH
It is a real treat to have a porch after not having one since July 25, 2006.
We were hoping that it would be in place when we came home from vacation
AND IT WAS!
I LOVE to sit out there with my tea and my Bible! The wicker chair is just my size and belonged to my friend, Mary Brown. What a nice memory. (Mary is still in a nursing home and is doing...okay. She looked great when I visited yesterday.
Things are not always that good.)

What a BIG, BIG TREAT!
We are very grateful to those who built the porch!

We are working on getting the window boxes up under the bedroom windows. We will get a new roof, Lord willing, this summer but are waiting until they can get to us. We have had so much rain that all the construction workers are behind. Also we plan to stain the porch railing white. Evidently we should wait until next year to stain pressure treated wood. We will put the rose bushes back in front of the porch. Right now they are in the "holding garden" which looks like a big overgrown mess. There are some good things waiting in there!
