This is Aunt Midge at her 98th birthday party last August! She is my mom's only and beloved sister. She is my favorite aunt partly because we were so much closer to my mom's family than my dad's, and partly because she is and always has been so special. We never lived close to Aunt Midge and Uncle Stuart. They were missionaries in Mongolia and then in Hong Kong after they had to flee from the communists three times. After returning to this side of the world, they lived in Moose Jaw and Regina, SK and Abbotsford, BC. My Uncle Stuart was a godly and wonderful man who is with the Lord. Aunt Midge continues to be an encouragement to everyone around her. When I talk to her, she sounds young and very upbeat. I miss her! She is a link to my dear mother who went to be with her Lord over 4 years ago.
The verses:
Psalm 139:17-18
"How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God!
how great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand:
when I awake, I am still with thee."
No wonder she has such a positive outlook!
