One (below on the right) was refinished, one was partially stripped and two had not been touched. Recently I bought dull, black paint for them.
Paul went to all the tedious work of refinishing it, but he decided he didn't care to tackle the others. That is why he thought the paint job was a good idea.
Normally we are not in favor of painting good wood, but, if I do say so myself,
this looks really nice. We talked with the owner of an antique shop who does this.
She said it may be a shame to do it, but it is what sells!

I LOVE the black!!!! Makes me want to paint my chairs and table.
They look great, Gail! Maybe I should try that with my table and chairs. I am not too excited with the oak finish.
they look great ~ I bet Sara is in agreement with the paint. ;) And I was thinking of you; a news special (live at 5) showed a rug hooking pce the other day... ;) ♥
