MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
We are pretty low-key about Christmas here, at least as most of the world celebrates it!
We do give gifts and decorate for the season, but we want the Lord Jesus Christ to be the center of our celebrations. We are reminded that He did not come just to be a cute little baby, but to grow up as a perfect, sinless man and then to die an awful death so that we could have eternal life. How sad that so many reject His gift! At least at this time of the year His Name is mentioned by a large part of the world in a way other than profanity.
It is interesting to me that our New Testament Bible reading for today is Revelation 16,
which tells about God's judgment on unbelievers. Today we celebrate the birth of a baby.
Someday, maybe soon, God will vindicate His holiness. My prayer for 2009 is that we may be able to give the TRUTH to many who need it. And also that they may accept it!
