when we see beautiful houses like
this on
some one's blog,
if the whole house is in perfect order.

Or do they take selective photos,

cutting out the mess that is just a few feet away?

Maybe in some homes they have no piles of books next to the bed.
How sad, if they don't!

Do they edit out the piles of photos that they are working on?

Do they show the adorable pillow which a daughter, in our case Sara, stitched,
but cut out the quilt and more photos that are current projects?

Do they show the neat kitchen shelves,
knowing you can't see if they are dusty...

but leave out the recipes which need work?
I wonder.
I enjoy seeing all the wonderful houses,
but wonder if anyone lives there!
Our philosophy has always been that the house is there for us,
not that we are there for the house.

I love this post! I love a neat, clean house with a place for everything and everything in its place...I just happen to have special places that are perfect for piling. I can see severaldust bunnies from where I sit at this very moment...oh sigh. T
I love this post! I have often thought the same things, especially when the beautiful pictures are from homes where there are young children and you never see toys out of place :-) My home normally has a couple toys on the couch, floor and/or coffee table, that one of the four kids randomly left behind....and yes we have a "clutter" spot in most rooms of the house, but overall our home is clean and tidy :-)
Oh yes! I do it all the time....cropping the pictures is the way I clean house :) :)
Big Brother here. Like you glimpse into orderly living and stuff management. My little next-to-the-recliner- bookstand-side-table is overflowing, but struggling to submit to orderliness. My latest effort to keep control of reading matter has been the acquisition of a Kindle. My, what a liberating feeling to be carrying over 60 books around in a device the size of one small book. And most of the books are free -- but you have to like titles that are in the public domain. Onward! in the struggle for orderliness!
