The front porch is finished except for the railings along the stairs.That is because the power is not in yet and the boss was not there with his generator.
The Lord took us there at just the right time to have the porch the size we want.
Because of some miscommunication, it was not all the way to the right end of the house as we wanted. It was no problem to extend it when we let them know what we wanted.
First Lunch on the Porch
We have a "thing" about eating on the porch.We used to eat on the front porch which was about the same size as this side porch.
I planned to set us up on the front porch, but although it was sunny, it was also windy and colder in the front. Notice the post sticking up under the light fixture. That is for my clothes line. We were there at the right time so that it was left that way! And the washer is right inside that door in the mud room.
We think both porches are wonderful!
The men are doing a wonderful job of finishing things off!

The house is so nice. I can't wait to see how you decorate it. Then it will be "Oh, for cute!" This will be said with a Norwegian accent:)
You girls...are just like your mother...eating out on the porch! Now all our husbands think we are nuts when it comes to eating outside...they just don't get the Carlson girl genes! How exciting to see this all come together for you! Thanks for sharing the updates...I almost feel like I am there! Hugs!!!
