House Moving

Here is where we found our new house.

We have found out what a BIG job he has.
He has or is putting in 8 houses this summer!

The roof has been collapsed and the siding taken off the end.

The front section to the left is on the truck and ready to travel.

The men are working on the roof to collapse it.

This is the same section after the roof was collapsed.
Most houses would not be completely assembled before delivery as this one was.
This has been a model home for the past year, so it had to be complete for viewing and then dismantled for travel to our property.

Ready to roll!
When we left the house, we thought that it would show up at the farm shortly.
However we waited from 12:30 until almost 3:00 for it to appear.
We picked and tasted apples. There are LOADS of apples on MANY trees this year.

Here Paul is in the house basement (had to climb through a window opening).
He is rescuing a kangaroo mouse that was trapped there.
Too bad that I didn't get it's pic. It was the weirdest thing with a long, long tail and long back feet and short from feet. It hopped! And it had a brown stripe down it's back.
I was anxious to have anything resembling a mouse removed from the house!

I didn't get a pic of Howard and Tina, the other house greeters.

Paul had a Bible study tonight, so we decided to leave around 2:45.
And HERE SHE COMES!
So we followed her back!

It takes something to back up a house!

There were only inches to spare between the living room bump-out and the foundation.
That's some driver!

Not much room on the other side either...
but with a good driver, you don't need to start digging again!

Here she is sitting right behind the foundation.
We couldn't stay to see her go on but everything is in place and anchored to the foundation now.
It will be two to three more weeks until everything is finished.
At that time everything will be finished:
plumbing, electricity, etc!

We met the back of the house coming on our way home.
It was an exciting day!
