Putting the farm to bed

Tuesday we went to the farm to get things ready for winter. I also got some tips for making wreaths. Our church decorating for Christmas is just a week away! I love to get tips...
especially when it is snowing (which it wasn't). There is nothing like being in the quiet
woods when the snow is falling.

Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
Robert Frost
Every time I go tipping, it seems like this just happened
a few weeks ago, instead of a year ago!

The Swing, deserted for the year
These photos were taken earlier in the fall.
Things looks pretty bare and bleak now.

Flower boxes and fall leaves

Back yard in the fall
The grape vines are cut down and the arch trellis taken away.
It fell apart, so we need to build a new one next year.

I think the farm pictures are just beautiful. I wish I could be out there at this time of the year. I'm glad that you also like to be there in the woods.
