Fun in the parks!

I will have to post some pics, a few at a time, about my trip to NC. You will notice that we were in two different parks on two different days in these photos.

This was the day before I came home and the temperature was 72 degrees! Nice, eh?

This was another day and another park, a nature park and it was cooler but still nice for November!

Wes eating a frostie.

Wes wanting to swing through the trees like Tarzan!

I was there!

Eating the frosties which turned out to be much smaller than they boys thought they should be!

The nature park was fun and educational.

There were buttons on posts which we pushed to hear about the trees. I was most interested in the loblolly pines which have very thick and rough bark. This bark protects the trees from fire which can occur in dry areas such as this. If maples are burned, the sap boils and the trees die. It is always fun to learn something new...and with the grandkids!

Thanks! I like the colors too but I think they will have to change pretty soon. Fall colors are gone here. Boohoo!
