Confederation Bridge

Yesterday we traveled to Prince Edward Island to deliver an organ, which we bought for $20 at an auction, to the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Souris. The forecast was for high winds, rain and freezing rain for Monday night. We made our delivery, had lunch with friends (more about that later), walked in a mall and then hightailed it back across the bridge before the big blow. We had an awful crossing last November when the winds were gusting to 90 kph. This time the winds went up to 140 kph and the bridge was closed some time during the night. On the way back, I clocked the crossing time: just under 10 minutes! Boy, that was a long 10 minutes last November! Actually it would have taken longer because they knocked the speed down and we were bucking the wind. Couldn't have lasted over 20 minutes...
some of the longest 20 minutes I can remember!

I realize that I have been very negligent about getting our Christmas trip reported. Things have been a little busy and we have had computer/e-mail problems as well. The computer problems should be fixed today and I will have to get some pics posted around the other busy-ness.
