The LONG Winter

We have been home for a week now and it is time that I get rid of Christmas on my blog and get on with WINTER! We are having a doozer of a winter, which the Farmer's Almanac promised. And since we are farmers (ahem), we set great store in the Almanac! If we have one, it is standard reading material in our "necessary room" at the farm. The fence on the top of my blog actually borders a garden at the farm. It is falling to pieces, so we will probably have to repair it with more old fencing which looks like it is falling to pieces. We love the old, weathered look. And that is as it should be on a 1920's farm.

The new blog colors remind me of winter in the northeast. It is cosy inside, so we have no complaints. Yesterday a friend came over to rug hook with me. We sat by the fireside with a cup of tea and our hooking. What could be finer?! I am finishing up a rug to send to Sara shortly. I will post some hooking pics soon to show my love of hooking. Fortunately I can hook in the car, so all those miles between here and NC are not a waste. Just say "trip" and I will be ready with my hooking in a very short time!

first off, I want to say how much I love the new look of your blog and the top pic is beautiful! I love it... I always wanted to learn to do the braided rugs ~ do you do any of them? Sounds like you're doing well! Kim;D oX's

No, Kim, I do not braid rugs. I tried it once, have part of one done, but didn't really care for it. Has Cliff ever been to the farm? You will have to bring him out next spring or summer!
