Look Good Feel Better Workshop

Today, while looking back through my cancer treatment posts, I came upon this which I never published.  I went to this workshop way back on November 5th, so it is very old news, but good news.  So here it is!  I am so glad I went.  It was a good boost and good advice.

Once a month at the hospital there is a workshop for cancer patients to help them know what to do during and after treatment, as in when you lose your hair, eye brows and lashes.  There are volunteers who show you what to do and give each cancer patient a bunch of very nice cosmetics to use and take home.  They also showed us wigs, hats, scarves and what to do with them.  One lady had lost her hair and she was the one who modeled all the wigs and hats.  She looked great in every single wig and the wigs were really, really cute.  I didn't take any pictures while I was at the workshop but I do have a few pics of the products we were given.

There is a great deal of support for cancer patients.  Everyone I have dealt with has been very helpful and kind.  I have no doubt that God has given me all kinds of help.  Here is our new memory verse for this week:  "Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;"  Colossians 1:11  What could be more perfect for the week when I am starting chemo?
