Projects after the kitchen renovation

After the kitchen renovation, other things looked rather tacky.

We have lived here for almost 12 years

and some things were crying for attention.

This is the guest room which was finished just minutes before company arrived...

well almost.

It is now "The Blue Room" for obvious reasons.I removed wallpaper, which was a pain.

Then I proceeded to paper the window wall because it had problems and the paper helped.

I also painted the furniture with a homemade chalk paint.

Before the guest room, I attacked our den/tv room.

It is now much lighter and brighter.

I am pleased to have some Mrs. Fraser paintings in there.

That lamp has been quite the object of attention lately.

We have tried to get a new or newer shade,

but are back to the antique one.

Oh yes, we did get rid of the snow.
I have been working in the garden and am pretty much ready to move on to the next thing.
