Silver Bush

We visited an "Anne site" which I had never visited before. I found Silver Bush to be totally enjoyable, probably because I have been to Green Gables so many times.
However...
I really bombed with the photos.
No pictures of the outside of the house...
no pictures of the lovely gardens.
My camera battery was going down, it seemed, so I was a bit distracted by that.

I doubt that I missed a hooked rug in the place.
No, I take that back.
There was one that didn't impress me, so I didn't photograph it.
The above rugs or mats, as they say, are old and are for sale.
I did not ask about their prices. I just like ideas of old rugs to make myself.

This one is quite a bit like the one I made for Andy.
I love the "hit or miss" use of colors. That is what it is called when you use up any combination of colors.
At any rate, I am getting keyed up to do some hooking, which I haven't done for ages.
All the rugs were lovely! Very lovely!

Oh yes, Silver Bush...
It was the home of Lucy Maud Montgomery's aunt and uncle and a very happy place to poor Lucy Maud whose happiest times seemed to be in her fiction.
This was the very organ used at her wedding which took place in this house.

This a desk which she also wrote about.
Something about the glass doors.
I guess I wasn't paying much attention to that detail.

Oh well! I plan to go back and next time I will get outside photos!
