I have had a nasty cold for the last 5 days which has put me out of commission. I missed out on a ladies breakfast on Saturday and didn't help much with the church decorating for Thanksgiving. However, all was not bad, since I was into a delightful book entitled, The Runaway Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverini. I did not know anything about this author when I picked up the book recently. The quilt angle interested me and, even more so, the fact that it involved the underground railroad for fugitive slaves. Also I did some rug hooking all snuggled up in bed. Then we were brought, not one, but two Thanksgiving meals! One on Sunday and another on Monday! Hey, having a nasty cold is not fun, but, if you have to, this is the way to go!
Also a man in our church shot a moose recently and brought us some meat. We have always enjoyed a good moose roast, but I'll have to cook these steaks a different way next time. :)
